Brashear headed north Saturday for the Schuyler County Tournament. Their first opponent was host Schuyler County. The game was a defensive battle in the early going with both teams finally putting 2 runs on the board by the middle innings. Schuyler County prevailed late and pulled off an 8-2 win.

The second game of the day was against Knox County. Knox had a grand slam in the top of the first to take a 4-0 lead, but Averi Acton hit a 3-run homer in the bottom of the inning. The game was close throughout, but Knox County held on for an 8-6 win. Callie Althide got the start for Brashear.

The third game of the day was against Cairo. Brashear didn't fare very well and fell to Cairo by a final score of 11-1. Although the Lady Tigers came away without a win on the day, they got valuable experience playing teams that they may potentially face in the postseason.
